Ordering

Q: How do I place an order?
A: Placing an order with us is both easy and secure. You can choose either to place an order online (this is quickest and simplest) or over the phone during our opening hours (Tel 01274 531163 Wed -Fri 10-5, Sat and Sun 9:30-5.) At busy times we are unable to answer the phone. Alternatively, you can email us with your contact telephone number and we will ring you back as soon as we can.

Ordering online:

If wishing to order online, simply browse through our shop and select the products you wish to purchase by adding them to your shopping basket.

Once you have completed your selection click on 'pay now'. If you have already signed up for a Salts Mill website account you simply enter your payment details and complete the order. If you are a new user then you can choose to set up an account by setting a password once you have placed your first order. Once you have continued to the payment method screen, we accept all major credit and debit cards. If you prefer not to create an account, you don't need to.

Ordering by phone:

Q: How secure is shopping with the Salts Mill website?
A:  We use Realex for all online orders to ensure the highest security possible for our customers. Using these methods we don't even see or have access to your credit card details.

If choosing to order by phone, we input your card details directly into a secure payment terminal, offering a safe way of taking sensitive information. Using this payment method we accept all major debit and credit cards.

Q: Can I still place an order without creating an account?
A: Yes you can.  

We completely understand that not everyone wants to create accounts with websites to place orders. By default, our website does not require you to have an account to checkout and complete your order. We only hold enough information to be able to deliver your order.

The other option is to simply give us a call and we will process your order over the phone.

Returns

We hope that you will be pleased with your purchases from Salts Mill. However, we understand that there are times when you will need to return items to us. We have tried to make this as easy and as hassle free as possible for you.

Q: Can I return a faulty item?
A: Hopefully you should never receive a faulty item, but if you believe something isn't quite up to scratch then of course you may return it.

Simply visit our contact us page and send us an email to let us know that you are returning an item, and the reason for returning it. We will reply with instructions and address details for returning the product. This will ensure that we can deal with your return as quickly as possible, and if necessary refund or replace your purchase once we receive the item back into stock. You have 28 days from receiving the item to tell us about the fault, but the sooner the better. Any postage or delivery costs associated with returning your order will also be refunded.

Q: How do I return an item I no longer want?
A: If you have simply changed your mind about an item ordered and you wish to return it then, in line with the EU Distance Selling Regulations (DSR), you can do so provided you inform us of your decision within 14 days of receipt. The item must not be used and must be 'as new' when returned to us. Visit our contact us page and send us an email to let us know that you are returning an item, and the reason for returning. Once you've informed us that you wish to return goods under the DSR, you have 14 calendar days to send it back, at your own expense. Once we receive the item back into stock, we'll issue a full refund for the product to your original payment method.

General Questions

Q: I'd like to buy a poster framed - can you do that for me?
A: Yes, but many of the larger framed posters are only available for collection at Salts Mill so you will need to place the order over the phone and come and collect it. Call us using the details on the contact us page, and ask to speak to someone in the poster shop.

Q: I've seen the poster you're selling listed elsewhere online for a far higher price. I assume that your much less expensive poster is less good?

Wrong! We only sell authorised posters. Many of the posters we sell, we produce ourselves. Others are from trusted sources with whom we've worked for many years. Sometimes people just try and resell our posters online with a hefty markup. We try and be as clear as possible on our product descriptions, so if you have any questions just drop us a line.
