Manufactured by Flos.
With a tube just wide enough to house the bulb, the Luminator, designed in 1955, is an example of function over form and the designer's dedication to minimalism.
Castiglioni still retains his trademark aesthetic, having the Luminator appear to be made of a combination of found objects, creating an unobtrusive but inquisitive lamp. It is another example of Castiglioni's work that enjoys a permanent place in New York's Museum of Modern Art.
