Karim Rashid is a leading figure in the fields of product, furniture and interior design. His perspective and clients are global and he considers himself a cultural shaper with projects ranging from products, interiors, fashion, furniture, lighting, to art and music. His clients include Umbra, Nambe, Magis, Prada, Mikasa, Target, Issey Miyake, Copco and Alessi, among others . He has won numerous awards and his work is in the permanent collection of 14 Museums including MoMA and SFMoMA . He edited the International Design Yearbook 18 (2003) for Calmann and King and released two CD's available on Seattle boutique label, Neverstop. The Bloop pen is held in the permanent collection of The Museum of Decorative Arts, Frankfurt.
